  • Position Summary

    We are looking for an energetic, independent, results-oriented attorney to join our fast-growing company.  Reporting to the General Counsel, you will be part of a small, agile legal team.  This is a great opportunity to work directly with in-house clients in all levels of the business and to make a meaningful impact in a growing company.  You must have excellent judgment and a proven ability to quickly learn new areas of law and independently manage multiple projects in a demanding, fast-paced environment.

  • Primary Responsibilities

    • Review and revise a wide variety of commercial contracts involving telecommunications, digital marketing, SaaS, service agreements, hardware and software procurement, among others
    • Participate in the management, maintenance and improvement of the company’s contract management system
    • Provide ongoing legal counsel to all levels of internal business owners
    • Research, anticipate and guard company against legal risks
    • Develop and implement various legal compliance initiatives and training programs
    • Contribute to other legal team goals and duties as needed

  • Minimum Qualifications

    • J.D. from an ABA accredited institution
    • Admitted to, active and in good standing with the State Bar of Wisconsin
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • At least three years of relevant work experience (some in-house experience is preferred)
    • Background in negotiating commercial contracts, preferably technology or telecommunications agreements
    • Strong technical writing and drafting skills, with the ability to adjust tone and content as appropriate for various legal and business audiences
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide strategic, business-oriented practical advice and solutions
    • Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and efficiency
    • Ability to self-start, meet deadlines, prioritize, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and work well with change in a fast-paced environment
    • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate complex legal concepts confidently and effectively with all audiences
    • Strong computer skills and software application proficiency in platforms such as Microsoft Office
